Attention:
This post contains A LOT of Pictures!
I picked just a few of my favorite. :)
We had some friends going to Hong Kong Disneyland and asked if we
wanted to join them. Um, Of course we do! Who doesn't what to go to Hong Kong
Disneyland. The way the flights fell we
decided to head over a few days before and go sightseeing. We flew out Wednesday evening and arrived
into Hong Kong about 11:00pm (1am Guam time).
We stayed at the Airport Hotel, which was very convenient for arriving
so late at night. Thursday morning we
got up, had breakfast, got all of our things together and headed to our next
hotel on Hong Kong Island.
Our little helper
Buying our train tickets
On the train to Hong Kong Station
At Hong Station we took a shuttle bus to our hotel, Renaissance
The view from our hotel
Once we got checked into the room we enjoyed a quick lunch then we headed over the Tram Peak. We took the Tram up to the top of Victoria's Peak. It was a clear day and we were able to see a great view of the city.
Someone was getting tired and was tired of taking pictures
After we left the Observation deck we got some gelato and had a little snack.
Make sure you look the right way before you cross the street. In Hong Kong they drive on the other side of the road, so at the corners there is a reminder which way to look,
After riding the tram back down we walked around some and found a place for dinner. It was a little diner. We just took a shot and ordered 2 different things. Both looked good and everyone enjoyed it but we had to order another one with NO shrimp in it. This gal cant have shellfish. But it was very good. By that point we were all a little tired so we started walking back to the hotel.
Reagan said after sitting in the hotel for a little bit that she wanted to go walk around more. Then she was sleeping 30 minutes later. :)
Friday we took a cab and went to Ocean Park. It had an Aquarium, rides, and shows.
Reagan touching a star fish. As we walked through the Aquarium and they had this huge Spider Crab. It was so big and weird looking. There is a picture here. It is not a very good pictures because I couldn't keep my arm still enough while taking the picture and holding Hunter. But you can see it through the blur.
When we were walking around there was a man walking in front of us, I said to Paul I know him from somewhere but not sure where. So then we figured out who he was. Im sure you all know him from something else, but I remember him from Gone Baby Gone.
It was very cool to see the Panda's.
Fashion Diva!
Whatever works, right!
We stopped to watch an acrobats show. WOW what a show
The park was really big and there was a section on the other side of the mountain. You could take cable cars over or a train. We walked over to the line for the cable cars and it was 45 minutes. Really who wants to stand in line for 45 minutes with 2 kids. I know I didnt want too. Reagan wanted to ride the cable cars so bad thought. So we convinced her to take the train over to the other side. The train wait was 5 minutes. Score!!! We went to the other side saw a few things and rode the Ferris Wheel. We figured we would try the cable cars to get back. Well that was a great idea, the wait time said 5 minutes. Well with having a stroller we lucked out and got to go off in a different line and we walked right onto our car. Oh yeah!
We got off the cable car and Hunter was already sleeping before we even left the park. Reagan was sleeping as soon as we got in the cab. We went back to the hotel to finish out naps.
For dinner we were taking the Ferry boat over the Kowloon Island and to see the nightly light show. Dinner didn't work out totally as planned because the place not being open so we went for plan b. We also took a cab to one of the Ladies Markets. It was not a very good selection of items. So then we cause another cab (wow what a ride after the cab drive got cut off by a bus and decided he was going to get in front of that said bus. What a ride!) The light show was very pretty. Bad thing was the Symphony was playing that night so the music that goes with the light show was not playing. (Guess when Reagan said she wanted to leave the hotel the night before we should of gone over to Kowloon Island.) Oh well something to do again on the next visit.

Saturday we got up and ready for breakfast because it was the day to head to Hong Kong Disneyland. We took the train over to the park stop and then the bus to the resort. The train was very cool. And so very Disney. Its the only car that goes between the one stop and the park. It had nice soft seats. The windows were Mickey heads and the handles to hold (for when you have to stand) were also Mickey heads. We stayed at the Disney Hollywood Resort. There we met our friends the Warrens.
Ready for some fun.
Mickey surfing
Our first stop was to Toy Story Land.
Two little monkeys
First ride was on Slink!
Reagan had so much fun.
Paul and Ben on RC.
We got to meet Tinker Bell, Reagan was not sure of her at first.
Tink even shared some pixie dust.
Wait Jacob!
Meeting the Monster U guys
GROWL!!!!!
We met Snow White in the hotel.
Then Mike showed up!
The hotel Trick or Treating
Heading back to the park for the Halloween Parade and fireworks
Getting ready for the parade
Jack
Maleficent was a little scary.
Cinderella and Snow Whites castle
Hanging at the hotel day while mom's go shopping
Monday was our last day at the park. We got up grabbed a quick breakfast, got changed and packed our bags. We had to check out of the hotel and were going to spend some time at the park.
Silly girl!!
While Reagan and Paul were driving the cars Hunter and I spotted Buzz and went to have our picture taken with him. Hunter couldn't take his eyes off him. Once they got off the cars we decided to all get a picture with Buzz. Once again Hunter was still all eyes glued on Buzz.
Then we went and rode the Buzz ride and we got to shoot aliens and Zurge.
We headed over to Fantasy Land to ride some of the attractions over there and ALL off the characters were out for pictures. We we headed over to check out Minnie.
Reagan giving Minnie a kiss.
Pluto
Next stop Mickey. Hunter did not like Mickey in his face. He was trying to push him away. Reagan liked him and got to touch his nose and give him a kiss.
We had to go meet Jacob after seeing Mickey so we had to skip Goofy and Pooh Bear. But it was very cool to see so many characters out at one time.
Reagan and Jacob trying to squirt us on a ride.
We headed back to Toy Story Land and Ben got to ride Slinky with Reagan. Not sure who was more excited about it.
Paul really wanted to ride something so he and Ben went to ride it and we rode the train around.
Someone had a long day at the park. We were barley out of the park and she was already sleeping. We headed back to the hotel to get our things and head to the airport.
Till next time Hong Kong Disneyland
Outside of the lounge was this poster of a Panda. Reagan was so excited about it and asked to have her picture taken with it. Then said Hunter needed one also.
Cleaned up and ready to get on the flight.
We were going to get a hotel room while we waited for our flight but that didnt work out so we ended up going to the lounge to get cleaned up and get ready to head back home. Reagan and Hunter are becoming true travelers... going with the flow. They also did great on the trains and taxis. They are world travelers in the making! Even with all of the hotel hopping we did
they also did great with the change. This was a trip of planes, trains, cabs, and a boat.
