I GOT SHOT

I got SHOT!!!!!! with a paintball that is. Last Thursday night Paul and I headed to Anniston to play Army. Well that's what I call it anyways. Every couple of months Paul's uncle calls to see if we can come and be apart of the training exercise. And if we are around we are happy to volunteer to help out. The purpose of the training exercise is for the Special Forces Guys to practice going and attacking when they are sent out on a mission. Every time we go you have no idea what is going to happen. When the guys came in this time they were on planes and repelled out onto the roof and then made there way into the building. They were looking for POW's when they came in. It was so cool to watch the helicopter's come in and drop off the guys. It was like the movie Black Hawk Down. As the soldiers were searching the building Paul and I were sitting on a balcony and we had good guys coming from the left and bad guys to our right. The way that I was sitting it looked like I could of been holding a gun and one of the guy shot me! After he shot me he was polite and said he was sorry. It was actually kinda funny, he knew he was not supposed to shot me and that's why he shot me in the ankle as he was putting his guy down. We were then told to get face down on the ground, asked our names, and flex cuffed. Paul and I were then put in a train with two other guys and taken to be with a group of others that were participating in the exercise. It is a lot of fun to be apart of these exercises to give these guys the assistance to get ready for whatever situation they are ever put into. Part of the guys goal of the mission is to not shot anyone who doesn't have a gun, so for the guy who did shot me I feel really bad because he was going to get chewed out about it. But Paul and I are really looking forward to the next one.

Graduation Weekend

This past weekend we were in Auburn for Graduation. Paul's older brother received his PhD. So on Friday we loaded up the car and made our way to Auburn. For dinner we went to Niffer's (for all of you Auburn people.) I must say that the Buffalo Chicken wrap was awesome.

Saturday at 2:00 p.m. was the start of graduation and Bo Jackson was the speaker. He did a great job. After graduation we all met back up and had cake to celebrate.

We went to Mellow Mushroom to eat and then when we left everyone was talking about going to the Supper Club (another Auburn fav). So we know what this led to.... yes we ended up at the Supper Club. Good times were had by all that attended.

Road Trip

This past Friday Paul picked me up from work and we were off on your driving adventure. It was moving day in Jersey and people were moving out to different places. Brian was moving to Paris, Ryan was moving to Hoboken, NJ, and Erin, Greg and Paul were moving into a different apartment in Jersey. With all of the moving and shifting Paul was going to need some stuff (bed and TV....etc) so we loaded up the truck and were off on a 16 hour road trip. It was a great time together. The scenic views were beautiful and the weather wasn't that bad. We ended up stopping north of Roanoke, VA at about 1 a.m. to sleep for a few house and then on Saturday we were back on the road to Jersey. I look forward to doing it again.
Here are some pictures from our trip.......
Paul making sure everything is strapped in good.

I forgot to get pictures of all of the Welcome to each state.
I was a little biased with the PA sign. Getting off the Jersey Turnpike.

The New Apartment. Some crazy person with a shade on her head.

Oh wait that's me.......
**** This makes me laugh and Paul reminded me of it today as he was driving to Raleigh. As we were driving to Jersey this past weekend Paul was on the phone with his brother (Patrick) and he asked if we had a GPS for our drive (even though I do want one). Paul says, "No, I have a SarahSarah." I start laughing, because I could of driven a route once and it doesn't matter what state it was in I pretty much remember the trip. But, I do have my mapquest directions just in case. It did make me feel good when Paul said he wished he had his SarahSarah on the trip to Raleigh. ****

She is all MINE........

When we got back from the wedding I checked the mailbox and in there was an envelope from the Credit Union. I had forgotten what it was until I opened it and saw that it was the Title to my car, Molly. She is all mine finally. Its so exciting to own her and not have to make that payment.

Molly is a great car and I love to go zoom zooming with her!!! Yes she is my baby!
