Cinco de Mayo

After getting my new license plate we headed out for some Cinco de Mayo fun. We all met up at Ixtapa on 280... when we got there, there was NO wait!! How awesome is that?! It was great to hang out with everyone and share some laughs. Who needs a reason for a evening of fun with your friends.... We don't!!!

Hayes was doing the motions to "I'm a little tea pot" when his picture was taken.

The Guys

Jared, Hayes, Shaun, Paul and Adam
Hayes is wondering why he has more hair than Paul.

Ashley left her sombreros in the car so we had to get a picture before we left. (I think she owns a hat for EVERY holiday, I wonder what the Memorial Day or the Forth will hold for us?!)

Me and Ashley -- Me and Paul

Ashley, Rachel and me they are doing some crazy leg kick -- Paul, Shaun, Justin, and Jared

What a fun night..... what is our next holiday????

It's Official

On the 5th Paul and I took an adventure to the Pell City Courthouse.... Yes, now you know why I am calling this an adventure. I have been putting it off f-o-r-e-v-e-r to get my Alabama License (check taken care of in NOV because PA one was to expire in January) and get my Plates for Alabama (its ONLY $36 a year to leave it in PA). I just wasn't ready to cut all of my ties to the North. Well when I came back from Pittsburgh a few weeks ago and realized that I still didn't fill out the info for my registration I knew it was time for the Alabama one. Paul and I went to the Courthouse the one day and it was closed for some random holiday. I told Paul my tag expires at the end of the month when are we going to do this, he had to work and I was told I was NOT allowed to go myself. If you know me enough said. He would of probably been bailing me out of jail when he got back from his trip. After hearing horror stories from others we thought it was going to be bad... But surprising it went very smooth and we didn't have any issues. Yeah I know such a weird concept that Courthouse/tags and no issues all go with the same scenario.

So I am officially legal to drive in Alabama. Next year I will have my PERSONALIZED AUBURN one to sport on Molly.

Me and my sad face.... For my Alabama plate and it has a 59.

Playing Army

Two Friday's ago was Army Day.... Paul was in Anniston all day and I headed out for the last two events. The exercises are for getting our guys ready to head to Afghanistan or Iraq so we are happy to be friendly civilians and just be a distraction to them. The soldiers are not supposed to shoot unarmed people, but the last time we went I got shot by accident in the ankle and this time Paul was telling one of the guys (this was his first time to go) about how I got shot and in the middle of the story someone came in the room and shot Paul, his uncle, and the new guys. This time they had on protective gear so it did not hurt them. I thought is was funny though. Poor trigger happy guy got an earful after that.

The Army Guys got dropped off around the corner from where we were and after they got the hostage we followed them to watch them take off.

For this exercise we were protesting outside of a jail.

After dinner there was one more exercise out in the middle of nowhere. We were civilians and after all of this commotion and explosives were going off we were to walk down the street to see what was going on in the neighborhood. It was pretty cool to see the helicopters come in, land, drop off guys, and then head out. After they got the person they were looking for the helicopters came back and picked the guys up and were off again. Even thought it was dark there was still plenty to see.

We cant wait for the next one.

Make Each Day Shine

You have a chance to be happy as any one person has ever been. All you have to do is recognize the possibilities, the power, and the wonder of... today.

Living life a day at a time means living a life that is blessed with awareness, appreciation, and accomplishment. For one day, you can be everything you were meant to be.

For one amazing day...

The weight is lifted. The path is clearer. The goal is attainable. The path is heard. The strength is sure. The courage is complete. The belief is steady and sweet and true.

For one remarkable day...

There is a brighter light in your life. The will to walk up the mountain takes you exactly where you want to go. The heart understands what serenity really means. And your hopes and wishes and dreams will not disappear from view.

For one magnificent day...

You can live with an abundance of love and goodness and grace shining inside you.

Diggin out

A couple of weeks ago on a Thursday Evening a friend from Church came over and help Paul and our neighbor Mark did a trench on both sides of house to help with our water problem. I only go one picture because then I was running to the store for more supplies... but this is Mark before his pants split.. ha ha yeah I know they did split all the way down. Since doing this we have had 2 really good rains and we have no swamp on either side out our house! It was awesome to have Stephen and one of his guys come over and help with this because we would still be digging holes.
