10 Months Old

 Happy 10 month Birthday!

We are rounding the corner to the 1 year mark!  

Mr. Hunter is getting so big!  He is so much fun and I cant wait to see what what the future holds for him.

Fun Facts:

* weighs 23 pounds

* talking up a storm! says ma ma when I try to get him to say da da he just laughs. ha ha ha

* has 4 teeth! 3 bottom and 1 top

* has made the move to 1 nap a day

*  size 3 and 4 diapers

* cruising all over the place and pushing his cart around

(walking soon?)

* loves to swim, pull EVERYTHING off of shelves, and play in boxes

* loves to get into everything

* some favorite foods noodles, strawberries, fruit squeezes, and watermelon

* such a happy, enjoyable little boy

 I'm sure there are some things that I have missed.  But we are just enjoying life to its fullest!

9 Months Old

Happy Labor Day and 9 months!!!

Hunter is weighing in at 21 lbs 8 oz.

29 inches long (new car seat here we come)

47.5 cm head (big head for all those brains :))

  

Some Hunter Fun Facts:

- eating tons of table food

- LOVES fruit!

- likes veggies if they are hidden in food

- size 3 diapers during the day and 4's at night

- cruising ALL over!

- Loves to play take all the toys out of the baskets!

- Loves to play with Reagan and be entertained by her 

(peek a boo is a favorite)

- Still only 2 teeth but the 3rd is working its way out

- loves to read stories at night with Reagan

- prefers to nap once a day. Mommy would like 2

- Eats 3 meals and 2 snacks. Loves to play with his sippy cup.

- has a bottle every 4 or so hours.

- still crawls like Spider-Man and is pretty fast

- LOVES the pool and "jumping in". Does well going under the 
water and holding his breath. 
- is always happy, has a smile on his face, and laughing all the time
(except when tired, but who is, right?!?!)
 - has the sweetest smile!

Hunter 8 Months

Hunter is a very happy boy.  Except when his teeth are bothering him.  Poor guy has another tooth that just cut through.  But it's nothing we can handle with teethers, frozen go-gurts, and Motrin.  He has gotten back onto the right side of the clock but with teeth coming in, it has been harder for him to go to sleep at night.

Hunter LOVES to eat

 When he finally goes to sleep he will sleep all night long!  And will usually stay sleeping 

until after Reagan leaves for school.

Hunter 7 Months

Ok, OK I know I say this EVERY month but really time is just flying by.  Hunter is getting so big so fast!  He is so interested in everything going on around him.  In early June, Hunter had an ear infection.... again. UGH!  Once we got back from the beach (that's another post) he had a follow up appointment and I was pretty sure that he still had his infection.  Surprisingly he didn't, what we had was a tooth on the way.  Hunter is a very happy baby except for when he has an ear infection or is getting a tooth. 

                                                         Weight -- 19 lbs 9oz

*  First tooth on July 8th.

*  Talking (more like screaming) all the time

*  Crawling like Spider-Man

* Prefers to be on the move and not held

*  Met some new friends and cousins

* One tooth and another is on the way

* Loves to splash in the water

Hunter 6 Months

Hunter is 6 Months old now!  He loves to smile and flirt.

Fun facts: 

* can put in own paci, but working on it during the night.

* size 3 diapers

* wearing 9 month tops and 6-9 month bottoms

* had 2nd ear infection :( was a little fussy but not too bad.

* such a sweet little boy. even when he had his ear infection

* loves to eat.  4 bottles @ 6 oz. baby food and table food.  Hunter gets so upset when you are eating big people food and feeding him baby food.  He prefers to have what everyone else is eating.

* LOVES freeze pops

We celebrated Hunter turning 6 months with a cupcake party!  Hunter loved smashing it and Cole love the pieces Hunter threw on the floor.

Hunter 5 Months

Hunter you have been blessing us for 5 months now.  I say it all the time, where has the time gone?  But honestly, where has the time gone?!?!?!  Your day was not spent in the usual style that we have come accustomed to.  It was spent making your longest travel adventure.    

Fun facts:

* happy, sweet, and loving little boy.  so easy going. quick with a smile

* loves to be outside.  the pool and the water slide

*  loves the jumperoo, sitting up and seeing the world

* rolls all over the place

* great night sleeper, but hates to go to sleep

* wearing size 3 diapers

* flew 17 hours (not including sit time) and drove 6 hours straight in a car. 

(might not seem like a big deal, but the ride home from the hospital

was 5 minutes and that included getting buckled in the car.)

* bottle schedule still the same 4 -6 oz bottles plus baby food 2xs a day

mum mums, puffs, and yogurt melts

* tried yogurt, ice cream, lasagna,   

* loves Reagan.  laughs at her all the time.

 

Hunter 4 Months

Hunter is 4 months old.  He is getting so big so fast!  He is growing and changing everyday and such a blessing.  A few weeks ago he went to the doctors,

Weight 15 lbs 15 oz

Dr. Blancaflor is pleased with his growing and said he looks great.  She did have his head remeasured.  I said he just takes after his dad and has a big head. ha ha poor thing.  

Fun Facts:

- size 2 diapers... need to use all 400 before we can move to 3's ha ha

- had his first minor ear infection before going to Honolulu

- first plane ride

- rolling over and around like crazy (takes laps around the crib)

- started baby food after HNL trip and LOVING IT. 

-Have tried sweet potatoes, carrots, peas, green beans, squash, apple sauce, and strawberry apple fruit squeeze.  I cant shovel the food in fast enough he loves it.  And Hunter had his first taste of pizza and loved that too.

- still sleeping all night!!! occasional wake up for diaper change and paci

- 5 bottles a day of 6 oz. between 6 & 7am, 10am , 2pm , 6pm, and 10pm.  Sometimes we skip the 10pm and go all night other nights we are just not ready to give it up. Food between the 10 & 2 and 2 & 6 bottles

- loves to grab toys, listen to Reagan sing, smile (he is such a happy baby), LOVES the water and being outside. 

   

- started holding his foot when he falls asleep. 

- holds his own bottle! Now all he needs to learn is how to put his paci in at night and we are set!

Hunter is such a sweet, loving, easy going baby.  He really ever cries, if he does it is one of the 3 things... wants to eat, diaper needs changed, or tired.  Sometimes when he is super tired and wont go to sleep because he is so curious about what is going on, we will cover his eyes with his lovie.  In no time he will be passed out.  We cant wait to see Hunter grow older and what the future has in store for him.  Reagan is such a great big sister.  She is always worried about him and wants to give him a hug or kiss.  When Hunter gets upset and cried she will tell him to calm down.  Ha ha its so funny.

Hunter 3 Months

Hunter has been blessing our family for 3 wonderful months so far.  We love having him and think he loves us too!  I am starting to notice a trend of Hunter's monthly birthday... it's spent at the pool.  We like to go to the pool on Saturday's and meet up with friends. Lucky for Hunter that is when the 2nd has been falling.  He seems to enjoy the pool too.  He is going to be swimming before you know it.   

Fan facts:

- sleeping through the night!! YEAH 

- wakes up between 530 & 7.  Will just lay in his crib looking at the mobile.  Once he has had enough will let me know he is ready to eat.  
- Eats about every 3.5 - 4 hours

- eats 4 - 6 ounces and I started adding oatmeal to his bottles

- when weighed on the scale the other day he is 14 pounds.  
(So long car seat insert!)

- Hunter is such a happy baby!  

- loves to smile at us

- loves when Reagan comes running to see him.  He gets such a big smile and his face just lights up.  They will be the best of friends.

- laughs

- going on first plane ride in a few weeks!!!

- wearing size 1 diapers but think we will be upgrading to 2's soon. 

- loves the pool and the ocean

- passport came in the mail!  (hence the first plane ride)

I'm sure I am missing something, but Hunter is growing so big and fast.  He is such a fun baby and easy going.  He loves to cuddle up with his blanket.  When he is fussing and wants to go to sleep you just put the silky side of his minky blanket and he will just pass out.  I'm pretty sure he is a moms boy but Ill take it. :)  Reagan makes him tough thought.

Hunter 2 Months

 Hunter is now 2 months old!!

He is such a sweet little boy and is growing so fast and his personality is starting to bloom.  Hunter is smiling at us all the time and is mostly a happy baby.  Those few moments of tummy troubles will get you, but they are starting to be fewer issues.  To celebrate Hunter turning 2 months we went to the pool.  He likes the water but it is a little chilly for him so he doesn't like to be in the pool for long.  Be loves to take a bath and Reagan loves to help give Hunter his bath too.

At Hunters appointment he was

23.5 inches long

weighed 12 pounds 9 ounces

and his head measured 42 cm

Hunter had to get 4 shots and 1 oral.  He handled it very well and spent the rest of the day sleeping at the beach. (That is a whole other post).  

Some fun facts:

- still eating every 3 hours in the morning and afternoon

- takes a cat nap in the am and pm and has a nice long nap in the middle of the day

- getting better about sleeping in crib

- sleeping mostly through the night, might wake up for a diaper change or bottle around 4:00 a few times a week.  Ill take it though!

- goes to sleep at night around 7:30-8 and sleeps till anywhere from 4:00 - 6:00

- LOVES to be outside

- smiles a lot at mommy, daddy, and Reagan

- had his first babysitter so mommy and daddy could have a date night!!

Hunter 1 Month

Hunter turned a month on Jan 2nd, already a month old... Really how can this be so.  He has been a blessing to our family.  It is so different to have a boy from a girl.  But we love them both the same.  What a way to turn a month old with going to the doctors and getting a shot... yuck.  But Hunter handled it pretty well. 

Weight 9 lbs 12 oz

Height 22 inches

Head 38 cm 

Hunter eats every three hours during the day and whenever he wakes up at night.  Usually about two am.  He is an early bird getting up at six am but it all works out with having to get Reagan ready for school.  He is a total cuddle bug and likes to be held.  I have heard he is just like his mommy. :)  In a month Hunter has done a lot met Santa, went to the mall, the pool a few times, the beach, and the playground with big sister.  We like to stay busy.  

We are excited to see what is in store for Hunters life and how as he gets older he will take to his big sister.  She just loves him to pieces and sometimes i think she might break him into pieces as tight as she hugs him.  When Reagan wants to hold Hunter she says "Hold it", when she has had enough "Take it".  Poor Hunter is dubbed an "it" by his sister.  But she is also very concerned about him.  When he is crying she will come and tell us He crying.  And so sweetly will tell Hunter Don't cry.  I cant wait to see how you both play together as you get older.
