Reagan got a gift card for her birthday from Grammy and Popski to get a bike. So at last we FINALLY went to Kmart to pick it out. Slacker parents. We looked at all of them and Reagan checked them out too deciding what she wanted. We ended up all agreeing on the Minnie Mouse bike.
Decisions, decisions, decisions...
After picking out the bike we had to make sure we got a helmet.
Safety first!
While Reagan was taking her nap, Paul put the bike together. Reagan was excited to see it and was happy to climb on it. She loves the streamers and the bell. We are still working on the whole peddling action but she is happy to sit on the bike and be pushed around.
Unfortunately, every time I try to get her to leave the apartment on the bike she is done with it. So we might have to borrow Erin's bike and show her how it is done. But hey who cares if you ride your bike in the house... right. I remember as a kid rollerskating in the basement.
Bike Rules:
You must wear shoes (good job mommy)
... tennis shoes preferable but sandals will work till we get tennis shoes
AND
You must always wear your helmet.
So far we follow all the rules and once Reagan wants her helmet off we tell her its time to get off the bike and she agrees.
